befor you try to replace them which is fairly easy if i can remember have you tried jet washing them at close range the best way is to undo the pipes at the back of the jets normally pull off after pulling back bit of rubber on top which helps clamp them in spot. This should blast out any scale build up and stop it going back down the pipe failing that good old toilet duck has worked for me befor ;)

Hi mate,

I'm not sure if you have tried this one as it's always worked for me, with a pair of pliers pull one strand of wire out of a standard wire brush, pull the plastic tube off the bottom of the blocked washer jet then carefully push the wire into the jet where the water comes out, this should force any blockage back into the body of the jet. All this is easier if you take the jet off the bonnet, usually just a plastic nut holding it in place but if you don't feel confident that's ok.

Now at this point when the wire has been poked in and out a few times I blow through the jet outlet to make sure all the crap falls out, job done reassemble and test! If all this fails then just buy a new jet..

I just use an ordinary needle from the outside. After all, the jet is the narrowest part & more likely to block.

Hi Stu, you're correct a fine needle will do but the missus won't let me take her sewing box onto the workshop ;), always got a wire brush knocking about though .

Time to change the missus, then?

Out of the question mate ...... she sooo good to me, unless it's the needle work box of course, then it's buy your own, I don't ask for your spanners!!;).
