When I asked at the Toyota parts desk, I was told that the fuel filter is not a replaceable item, it just uses some mesh on the pickup in the tank.

I am not sure about petrol but on diesel, there is one which is near the air filter.

There is another filter which is fitted in the tank and does not require replacement.

The petrol only has the one in the tank that is non-replacement.

Diesels normally need a special extra fuel filter to remove moisture etc.
