Hi Peeps

How difficult/easy is it to remove and replace a rear wiper on a 53 T spirit? Does one have to go to Mr T for the parts?

Do you mean the wiper blade, arm or the whole assembly including the motor etc.

As previous respondent says having lifted the arm and turned over the blade holder it is clipped into a U shaped holder and you can depress the bottom of this and lift out the blade. These can be bought at any motor factors and stores like Wilkinsons etc. It is also possible to just change the rubber and kits with instructions can also be purchased universally.

Make sure you measure the size of your wiper. My '53 model I think had an 11" or 12" blade, but Mr T. sold me a 10" one as the only replacement they supply. As we know, an inch or two does matter!! So I bought a replacement correct size one off eBay for less than the one from Mr. T.
