Removing Exterior Door Trim

Hey guys, First post here, just got a new Rolla

2002 Hatch and love it ! (:

I was thinking, and did a bit of editing in photoshop last night,

How would one go about removing the exterior trims on the doors

I'm talking about the black strip of plastic along the sides of the car.

Would it be as simple as a heat gun and a bit of fishing line to slide through,

Or does Toyota use bolts to secure their trim to the panels?

Check out my photos for my before and afters

Oh and disregard the other "mods" in the photo (:

Cheers

Thanks for the quick reply guys

Cerberus - Thanks for the advice mate, have you personally done this?

Just want to make sure before I start that I dont run into any screws or bolts and have to reglue it all on

CorollaD4D- Yeah mate, that was on the cards and still is, but I think it would change the whole aspect of the car if they were gone completely, as you can see in my photoshopped photos, you cant see a trim at all, it just looks like nothing is there on the panel, and I think thats the look I want to go for.

Are you sure that it would not leave behind any difference in color?

Cerberus - Is the kit to remove the trims? Or am I missing something? If you could keep me posted when/how you remove the trims that'd be great (:

Madvinegar - Good question, I was wondering that myself, I guess it depends on if the paint that has been exposed the whole time, has faded or not?

CallumRolla - NO lol im having a bodykit delivered ( thanks richiev ) so i will remove the trim at same time as fitting the body kit.

Madvinegar - yer there may be a very slight difference in colour but nothing a good polish/t-cut wont solve, modern paint doesnt FADE like older paints did.
