Removing Logos On Trunk

I have a 9th gen 04 Corolla (E120) and i want to remove the logo and lettering on the trunk for a nice clean look. The lettering should come off no problem, hopefully without removing paint, but the logo in the centre appears to have a lip right at the bottom of it. Is this going to look stupid and if so, how can i make it look better? Is there anyone who has done this before?

I have just done mine but have left the toyota emblem Badge on as I agree it will look a bit silly without. I used a hairdryer on the rest of the badges just to warm up the backing a bit and then gently removed the badges, they came off pretty easily. Next I used tar and glue remover to remove the rest of the backing and adhesive. Have since used some more T&G as there was still some residue on where the Corolla Badge was

Thats exactly how i have done badges and bump strips for years it tried and tested method and if you take your time will always work great. :)

Hi there

I have a 2006 (face lift) Corolla...and i had to remove my rear badges as i had some paint repairs done...she looked amazing after...and i even considered leaving her de-badged...but for some reason...and in MY opinion...i think she looks too plain as if somethings missing...and it makes the car look cheap...so i stuck them back on. In regards to the centre Toyota Badge...its best to leave it on unless you want to involve body filler&paint etc to fill it out!

Thats the idea of debadging is that the other person doesnt know what you are driving till you press the gas and leave him for dust.

Suppose it makes sense CerberusStyle...you guys with your T Sports...us 1.6's just take it easy...badged or de-badged you'll know its a 1.6 lol! Saying that the 1.6's do have quite a bit of smooth power!

nothing wrong with the 1.6 they are nice little motors and with a little work can sound just as good as a t-sport even thoguh they are not as fast.

Just did the debadge job on my TS.

The front was easy, bviously, rear was a a bit more tricky because I live in a rented flat and not only do not have a hair dryer:) but nowhere to plug it in near the car as well. So I just Waterstones mambership plastic card(first use of the card come to think of it:):) ) and removed the Badge this way. There is a fair bit of glue left on so I will be picking up some tar remover which people say makes a good job of getting rid of glue.

Could you please post some pictures up? I'd like to see the result because I am thinking of doing the same thing on my E12.

Here's mine, although the idea of debadging slightly different from mr-p's :):)

As you see, not a sign of any residue or different paint colour. I would be careful with hot water, just use a plastic card and then tar remover.

The way I see it if they can't tell its a Corolla due to the absence of the Badge, they will not know what a T-sport is:)

I always loved understated looks although I agree that exhaust and red TOYOTA give the game away somehow...

Hi Sizzla538

Sorry only just came across your comment...i did consider leaving my baby debadged for quite some time...but i thought nah...somehow i like the look of the rear with the badges on...in my opinion re the Corolla in particular i feel the badges add to its quality appeal...if that makes any sense at all lol! With all cars i've owned were debadged so this is a likkle weird for me too!

Re the skirt...it does finish off the car nicely but is'nt all that really...they damage very easily...the T sports are way better looking at the front end! If and when i sell my car...and if the new buyers dont notice a gaping missing piece...i'll let you know lol! Saying that there was one for sale on eBay recently...metallic blue but would be simple to rub down/primer/spray to your colour...dealers would charge you god knows how much for a piece of plastic as they do for nuts n bolts too lol. Takecare matey.
