Front Strut Brace Based Question

im looking for wisdom, when fitting my new front strut brace the original nuts are now too big (due to the spacer on the bottom) so the nut is only held on my a few threads.. not good, I have 6 nylock nuts and washers that i could use but not sure if they would be safe enough? i understand that most of the force is up the way and its only 49nm torque on the studs but thought id best check with thos in the know!

also I have some pics that i will post later for fitting a brace to the 2.0 diesel rolla(some modification required).

ta in advance

fred
