Corolla 2000 Radio Removal

Hey folks

I'm going mad here trying to get the factory stereo out of my newly acquired Corolla. I've looked at all the usual places but I can't find a manual, website, or any instructions that seem to relate to the configuration of my particular car. And I've tried following my own intuition... and failed.

Here's what the dash looks like

I've removed the air vents and underneath each one is a label that says "Radio Serv" with some kind of clip next to it. I've tried pushing the clips up while trying to get the top console to budge but it won't.

So either I'm not being brutal enough or I'm missing something.

Could do with some help if possible!

Cheers

Mark

(oh, I'm a brit living in New Zealand so I guess the car is a Japanese model if that helps at all?)

Here you go mate: http://www.fitaudio.com/?View=entry&EntryID=139

AND DON'T FORGET TO DONATE £2 TO THE GUY!

His guide was a lifesaver for me, its a piece of ***** after seeing this and you didn't even need to remove

the vents like that, but never mind, no damage done.

Awesome. Thank you!

Bring on the weekend so I can finally fit my new stereo.

Cheers!

Mark
