Tns 500 Navigation System

HI all

This is new to me so I hope this is the correct place to ask questions.

I have just taken a TNS500 Navigation System out of a Toyota (I think it was a corrolla, I did not take much notice) and I am trying to install it into a Lexus. I can get the monitor to power up but not the computer. I have connected the monitor to the computer and checked the wiring and it all seems to be fine. The connector I have fits the monitor but not the car and it is like it is a link between the navigation system and the cars wiring, i.e. to connect to the cars Speakers. I have spliced into the connector I have and managed to power up the monitor. Questions

1 Does the reversing wire and speed sensor wire have to be connected for the system to work?

2 Where can I get the correct connectors?

3 If the connectors are not available has anyone got a wiring diagrams showing the "PIN OUTS" on each plug and socket?

Many thanks to anyone who can help.

Regards

Alan

The system should power up and show where you are without the afore mentioned feeds connected, but it won't be nearly as accurate, possibly even to the point where it doesn't work effectively as a nav unit.

I have a few links on my home PC about oem toyota nav kits as I have been doing a lot of digging on that subject recently trying to adentify the VSS (speeds sensor) feed on my Hilux surf.

At least you'll have the of a UK wiring diagram as I assum it is a uk or uk equivenant car.
