Hi all,

Our Avensis has developed a fault where at low speed the engine management light comes on and the engine will only rev to 1200 rpm. If the engine is shut down for a minute or so you can restart with the light showing but engine revs fine. The error codes show it is low fuel pressure and so far we have had the common rail replaced with no success and now it has been suggested it is the fuel pump.

Any help help would be very much appreciated.

Cheapest option would be a fuel filter check?

If that is blocked it would explain the low pressure and cost very little to put right.
