Starlet 1.3 Fuel Consumption

Hi.

I've just recently bought a Toyota Starlet 1.3 S. I'm pleased with the car but not with it's fuel consumption. I put £20 worth of fuel in on Sunday (about 15.5L) filling it between 1/2 and 3/4.

Driving it back and from work dropped it by half of a quarter (driving it normally, 10 mile round trip) and the gauge now sits at empty when only having travelled 85 miles (24 MPG  ). The only engine changes I'm aware of is an induction kit and a stainless exhaust from the cat.

If anyone has any suggestions, it would be appreciated. Thanks.

20 x 5 = 100 miles.

£20 worth of fuel is around 15L, so yours is doing about 30 mpg.
