Vsc Fault

I have the T180 with Vehicle Stability Control, I had a puncture on the back so had to buy one new tyre (old one couldn't be repaired). The garage I was at didn't have the brand of tyre that was punctured so I bought a budget tyre, after 20 minutes of driving the VSC light came on along with TRC off light. If I turn the ignition off it sorts it out but it will come back on again after driving for 15 minutes or so, in the manual it does say all tyres should be the same tread pattern, type etc or the vsc system will not function so does anybody know if having two different tyres on the same axel is causing this or could it be something more sinister? No other lights come on so ABS etc is all ok it is just these two lights.
