really up to you mate, to bling or not to bling lol polishing will be a lot more work and you have to keep it up to keep it looking good. painting is easy, just get some vht paint or hammerite and lay it on

IMO polished would be cool and ive not seem anyone do the rocker cover yet

painting will affect heat transfer. So polishing is better in that respect.

Better still, why not forget the plastic and get some real alloy ones?

I think you should get some red paint for rocker cover and use a small spark plug cover too.

Paint, i had mine looking like a mirror. Downside it looked great the finish wouldnt last it needed to be polished weekly so was very hard to maintain. Biggest downside was my engine bay would get extremely hot.....Polished surfaces increase heat.

You can get a decent thermal coatings to reduce underhood temps and keep it looking neat. ;)

Look for Cermakrome on demon tweeks

Wrinkled effect red looks real nice, The honda guys usually do that alternatively wrinkled black?

Or as mentioned go for the chrome look, on a grey i think red will bring out the animal inside the bay
