Yes I know I can get sensors fitted for about £150 but being on a budget I would like to fit them myself. The car is a D4D tourer 07. Tow bar already fitted. Is it best to remove the bumper or can the four holes be drilled with the bumper in situ ?

It can be drilled and fitted with the bumper on. You do not neet to remove the bumber and you could fit the sensors into bumper, get under the car, get the wires together and fix them with some support and get them into your boot.
