Rear Shocks Advice

Hi all

Recently bought a Rav 4 stax on a 1997 plate and took it to Toyota for a free safety check where I was advised that one of the rear shocks is leaking. I was just wondering should I stick with standard shocks or change them for something that will cope better with rough country roads and farm tracks or will standard shocks do the job ??

I think you have a choice... the standard are good enough for 'soft'off-roading. I haven't checked very recently but it was possible to get others like adjustable Konis (I have read that these are no longer being made). Checking 4x4 suppliers will throw up other suppliers.

The first version RAVs were built to be able to take soft off-road work so the standard version would do you.
