Ecu Chipping And Piggy Back Ecu

Hi all

A while ago i though I heard a rumor that there was going to be a plug and play ecu chip to to give the t sport a bit more power any one knows what happend with it?

On the other hand how much am I looking at for a piggy back ecu? How much more power could I get out of fitting one?

Not heard anything bout a plug n play ecu yet.

I got quoted £500 for a piggy back ecu not sure how much more power it gives you tho.

AEM FIC or greddy Emanage are the popular ones.

I think you could probably get about 20PS without much effort. Last time I looked they were going for £250-£350 on eBay but that is brand new.

You sure thats 20ps ? i cant see you gettin circa 17bhp gain on the standard set up from what is effectivley a remap , i think anyone would be lucky with a 10bhp gain .Happy to be proved wrong though

I think an exhaust and an intake with a piggyback and you could get 20PS. There is not work involved in an intake or exhaust.

sorry thought you meant on its on , yer thats definatley possible . so what are you going to do following up from the other thread , are you going to get a power fc or one of these other ones .

Id be willing to do it myself if its worth it , i have a typhoon sitting there ready to go on , and will prob get a full exhaust in the coming months

Apologies I can see how my post could have been misinterpreted.

I'm going to get a power FC, well I've ordered it. The problem is it will not work with our electronics systems by itself. It needs to run in parallel with the stock ECU, so I will need to sort that out.
