i wonder if anyone can help me ? to start with i have a t180 which has a parrot ck3100 ok . the thing is i want to remove it

as i have a pioneer avh-3300bt which has parrot built in . if i wire the pioneer through the ck3100 everyone that phones me

can hear themselves talk which is not good . i have disconected the power from the ck3100. i think the best option would be

to remove it completely but ive no idea how to. the control unit is on the right hand side of car next to mirror control .

can someone tell me what im looking for and whats involved stripping down that side ..

I've not stripped a dash down so can't really help you there but I have fitted a few Parrots so can confirm how it works.

There's a main control "brain" box. Plugged into it are a mic, a display unit, and a mute connector (a cable connecter between the rear of the stereo and the wiring which used to go to the stereo). The 12 volt power is gained from the connector at the back of the stereo (or it's meant to be anyway). Therefore, as you will have the stereo out to change it to your new one all you need to do is disconnect the mute cable and the parrot won't have any power feed, and won't be able to mute the stereo. I'd also think that it should be fairly obvious at that point where the control box is located by following the mute cable route.

hope this helps.

:)
