Sat Nav Disc .. What A Game !

Ever since buying My Rav I have been trying to find an up to date Navigation disc as My current one is 05/06. After several let downs I threw in the towel and PMd Kingo who informs Me that I can only get one from Toyota in Belgium and I was given a link so I could put in the part number into a box on the site to find an up to date disc ...

Well clever <the spuds of lurrrrvve>s here had given the old disc away so I couldn't enter the number .... So I borrow it back and put the relevant numbers in the right boxes only to find I am now being offered a 2007 disc for 159 euro s .... Brilliant 159 euro s for a disc that is still ancient !!!!! :crybaby: :crybaby:

Eh? I believe the site should have chucked part number "PZ485-X03EU-10" at you, which I believe is a 2010-2011 disc. (I suspect the "10" refers to the year of the disc).

B9004 on the front of your satnav? (It should be, being a T180).

Is the "03&05&07" in the item description that the site shows, misleading you?

haha ...............chuckle

Whatever happened to the expensive basic educationally inputs of map-reading ???

Buy a road atlas at a cost of £1.99

Or maybe the intrinsically difficult challeneges of driving a 5 door oil-burning couch is just too difficult to accomplish along with map-reading at the same time ---- in which case, take the train

Count yourself lucky you got 2007, mine is 2002

It often leads me down a road that no longer exists or skips entire areas.

You're better of getting a cheap TomTom - EUR 159 for a disc that doesn't do the full postcode

Even the Beemer doesn't do full postcodes (for car satnavs in general it's to do with paying the Post Office a royalty for the full list). But at least you can get updates for about GBP 20.

My Galaxy S 2 smartphone on the other hand - the satnav is the GPS tracking superimposed on Google's satellite/ street view maps. Or you can switch to the free Ordnance Survey maps. There's the way to go.

I have a Tom Tom. I would just like to use the equipment that I paid for in the car and not have to keep removing the Tom Tom off the window every time i leave the car
