Couple Of Things.....

Hi all, am looking for some more advice please, specially as the last post was so helpful! We have got our T180 back after the engine rebuild but noticing the following:

1) If you brake fairly heavy there sounds like a hevy clunk from underneath the car and it sounds quite hefty. It occurs only really on heavy braking...

2) The turbo seems to be very on/off in its boost, especially in the lower gears. It is really difficult to get a smooth start off as it seems gutless then comes in with alot of force. Having owned a few turbo diesels I know some are quite 'boosty' but this seems really aggressive and wondered if I should run it back in and get them to take another look??

Any advice would be much appreciated as always!!

I think I would get it straight back to them and explain that neither of the issues you are now experiencing were there prior to the re-build.

Like Dave says, have it back. Ther is virtually no turbo lag with a healthy T180 and that clunk sounds a bit worrying. They have had the subframe and exhaust off. It needs a check over.
