I have a 6th generation Celica. I haven't had it long, but think it's great.

I just want loads of info on it. It's a convertible and I haven't seen any others

about, this seems to be a rare car. It's in very good condition but I want to get it to immaculate.

P.S. Are ther any 6th gen convertible owners out there.

Celica Cabriolet info here you go:

Length: 177.1 inches (I mention this because the non-cabriolet is only 174.3).

Kerb weight: 1295kg (non-cabriolet: 1220kg).

Tyre size: 205/55 VR15 front and rear.

Boot capacity: 6.8 cubic feet (non-cabriolet: 10 cubic feet).

Maz speed: 134mph (non-cabriolet: 137mph).

0 - 60 mph:s 8.5 seconds (non-cabriolet: 7.9)

Fuel tank capacity is 60 litres.

Combined fuel economy is 31mpg (Imperial gallons, not US).

There you go, the only reason I put the comparisions with the standard GT was because it makes interesting reading - didn't do it to let you know it slower or anything :D

The cabriolet is a great and rare car (rare due to it's huge cost when new!!).

Thanks JohnnyC

I'm learning day to day about the car.

It's in really good condition for a 1995.

But I hope to make it better.

first job I want to do is clean up the wheels.

They are 215/40/ZR17, but losing chrome.

I hope to be able to get them cleaned and rechromed.

If this is possible.

Like I said I'm new to this.

Hey,

Another GT convertible owner. I have one of those over here in the UK. I have never seen another on the road here!!.

Its an excellent car, rare and still looks good even after all of these years. I have had mine for over a year now and I am still impressed.

Its a really great car for the money, and fab in the summer.

I hope you enjoy owning it

Hi Matt.

Hope you don't mind me being informal.

I'll be truthfull and let you know that I don't veiw this site much because I thought it was mostly non UK bods veiwing and awnsering my quieres, greatful for any info, but looking for local help and support.

In reply to your last message I would like to confirm, I am a new owner of a

Silver 1995 generation 6 Nreg 2.0GT Convertible. UK spec (no import)

I agree with what you said, this seems a rare car in these parts.

I am in the East London area, South Woodford.

I hope to be meeting up, at a meet soon, Bolney 24th April.

I am getting most of my info from the Celica owners club on line.

I'll stay in contact with this club for info on how everybody else looks after the motors
