Yaris T Sport Alarm

Hi Guys, im new to this forum, and new to toyota cars but was hoping that you might be able to help me with a little problem i have with my t sport yaris. Since the weather has picked up my car alarm keeps going off at half an hour intervals which tbh is driving me and my neighbors crazy. I have already checked the voltage on the car battey which is fine and there doesnt seem to be a drain anywhere. All three remote batterys were replaced a few months ago (whether this makes any difference or not i dont know) and all doors including bonet and boot are shut correctly. Have you guys got any idea as what to start checking next? Or is there any common faults regarding alarms?

many thanks Lara

Hi,if your car has the standard factory fitted alarm it will have a Microwave Sensor ( black box about the size of a matchbox )and this should be attached to the side of the Cars heater box.If you remove the glove box (just open the glove box and pull it out)you might be able to see the sensor attached to the heater box,the sensor has a sensitivity adjustment screw under a little plastic cap and you need to turn this screw from memory to the right (or left  ) by one segment at a time until you have no more false alarms.Make sure you dont leave any windows down slightly also parking close to trees with waving branches can set it off if set too sensitive.
