Beautiful day for the Wife to go for a wee drive drive in The Bentley Azure T, until....

I was stunned by the lack of discipline regarding mobiles in Florida. In fact it seemed obligatory to use the phone before driving. If i had £1 for every kid that looked no older than 12 weaving between trucks on the highway with one hand on the wheel and the other on the phone i could retire now!!!

I know that Amtrak have completely banned them following the horrendous accident a couple of years ago but the roads are a free for all.

You're absolutely right! When waiting at a red light I often count how many drivers are turning with one hand on the wheel and the other up to their ear holding a phone. It's usually every 3rd driver. I'm not one of them--I fitted the BluLogic and when I do talk and drive (which isn't often), I use that. Even then I tend to make the conversation brief because I don't like to be distracted when I'm driving. Some states like California have legislated mandatory hands free laws, but so far they have failed to pass in Louisiana and Florida.
