Rav Vs. Pigeon

Driving on the motorway today, loud bang and I look in the mirror to see a small fat grey corpse bouncing down the hard shoulder...

End result a broken nearside headlight, the pigeon caught the top edge and broke the plastic cover, everything else seems fine, pesky flying rats...

2003 4.2 5 door - anyone know whether you can replace the plastic cover, or I am going to have to find a whole new headlight? If Parts King or someone can suggest a cost, that would be much appreciated!

Mmmm. Some shortcrust pastry, an onion, a handful of mushrooms and a drop of red wine (or beer) to pep up the gravy. You did go back for it?

I remember once catching a pheasant just right (in season of course) and lobbing into the boot for later. All he** broke loose after a while as the thing was only stunned and got very bad tempered at having to slum it being rolled around in the boot of a mere Ford.

These modern cars are too light and flimsy to go after roadkill too enthusiastically. :fox:

Its a good job a Mr Plod did not see you picking up that Pheasant as it was a game bird and unlees you held a licence for shooting/handling game, and this includes Hares you were breaking the law.if you knock game down on a public road you are not allowed to take that bird/hare.

But the silly thing is anyone else finding that bird you knocked down can pick it up and take it away.
