Possible Wheel Bearing Failure

So my brother is driving the new Rav and all of a sudden there's a clunk as he's going round a right hand bend. Now every time i turn right there is a humming and a slight vibration through the steering.

If you drive aggressivly and start to throw the car about a bit it very quickly gets worse. I've had it in to Mr T who say it's the near side wheel bearing and that it gets worse as you throw it around as the bearing heats up. They advised they'd be delighted to lighten the load in my wallet by a mere £440 to fix the issue...

I bought the car from a Honda dealer so i'm trying to get them to resolve it, however I was wondering is it normal for a wheel bearing to fail on an 07 Rav with only 48k on the clock??? I wouldn't have thought so... Does it even sound like a wheel bearing issue??

Answers/comments/abuse etc etc on a postcard (or on here if it's easier!)

Cheers

I have a similar noise/vibration from mine at the minute which i suspected was a wheel bearing.... i guess this near enough confirms it!

Altho Toyota only quoted me £76 for the part, didn't ask about fitting as i can sort that myself.

If it is your wheel bearing have a look on eBay, found one for mine for £25 bargain!!
