When was the fuel filter last changed? Put some BG244 in the fuel and see the black smoke no more.

I am having similar problem, I have a 2008 Toyota Hiace with a 1kd engine that uses the D-4D common Rail fuel injector technology. This vehicle at times gives excessive exhaust smoke (white) however my vehicle does not loose any power . I hope someone will tell me how to get red of the smoke
