Is It Just The T180S That Have New Engines?

Thinking about changing to a newer Rav after over 4 years of ownership. After speaking to a local friendly dealer I get the impression that the only 2.2 D4D engines to have the fault are the 180 bhp models, can anyone confirm this ?

Cheers

I can confirm that that is incorrect. Any of the 2.2 diesels are affected.

Thanks Don

I thought that to be the case, I assume same goes for the Lexus 2.2s also?

It depends how new your talking about. I thought the problem had been fixed on 2009 onwards models.

Besides, Toyota have extended the warranty to 7 years and 110k miles so it's really not a big deal.

Does the 7 year warranty cover all cars or just cars sold through the Toyota network with full Toyota service history ?

Anyone know ?

You have to demonstrate that it has been "reasonably" well looked after with either dealer, indie or your own records.

not all 2009 cars are ok.......

and as long as the cars has a history with a garage thats vat registered thats enough to get a rebuild

What I meant as that all new model cars (circa 2009 onwards) have had the problem fixed already.
