Vvtli / Second Cam

Hi newbie here. car pics can be shared later on, for now im querying the vvtli/second cam.

All you other Tsport owners when vvtli kicks in is it noticable like pin you back or just kicks in and not feel much?

when mine kicks in its hardly noticable is all, the noise change etc is all there but i dont feel the power increase with it.

sometimes it seems slower in second cam then when going through the first 5k revs of the engine.

any help much appreciated.

weekend work is to clean the ocv (finally after leebo's help on the how-to)

and change the common failing cam bolts (as a precaution)

tapping is still hectic, especially after vvtli kicks the tapping is far from ignorable on tick over. (loud tapping)

end of essay,

help much appreciated, thanks in advance.

Sounds like an OCV issue to me, if lift hasn't been used much over the live of the car, it can clog

Ticking is somewhat normal really, I've been told the factory clearances are pretty poor

Mines a ticker :)

Very unlikely to be a faulty ocv, it's only a solenoid. Big difference between noisy valve train noise and a worn rocker/cam tap. If in doubt take it into your local rotec shop or do a 12v Battery test.
