Tinkering about on the Rav today when i found this bit of hard plastic.rubber in the bulkhead roight in the top left ahnd corner (looking into the engine bay)and couldn't figure out where it came from,if any where that is?

So have any of you any idea,and should it go back where it came from??

Its about 4" long.

Hi

It goes at the side of the front screen, you should have another one on the other side at the bottom.

is that not a fin that directs water from the screen down into the drain points?

i could be wrong.

Spot on from Brizee, Paul....both wife's ah had to glue in place as they had sepamarated at bottom corners of windscreen.

They do indeed channel the watter....

I will see if i can spot the other Hoofer :D on the other side but couldn't see it today,so perhaps that one is missing??

Charlie i haven't got the Haynes manual so can't check it out :D

That must mean you had a flood or maybe even washed away in a tsunami.

I have the Toyota manual Paul and it says on page 234 sub section 3. Doofer... So its a doofer ..... :thumbsup: :thumbsup: :thumbsup:

Hi Paul,

I had exactly the same issue with our 3-dr. It goes back quite easily with a drop of Evo Stick.

I only found it when i was clearing all the leaves out the corners,i thought there was an Oak tree growing in there with the amount of leaves i took out :eek: and that bit was stuck right in the corner.

Brizee great idea on guess the part.Great way of learning about the Rav and all it's bits and Doofers :D

Charlie is the diesel manual different to the petrol?? :o
