Hi Everyone.

I've seen a few Regius's for sale on eBay that are 2.7 petrol with LPG conversions.

Can anyone tell me, what kind of economy do these give ?

Whats the equiverlent mpg ?

Or even better,,I often do a round trip of 270 miles that's 90% motorway.

Could anyone tell the approximate cost of that trip ? assuming I'm doing 70 or so ?

Also, Can someone tell what the Road Tax cost is for the 2.7,,I can't seem to find that info anywhere.

And one final point, I know some of guys will consider this as sacrilige,,,my intention would be to remove the back seats and use it as a van. I would put some sheets of ply on the sides and floor etc.

Reason for this, is because I dont like driving vans on long distances, I want the space, and I want some comfort/luxury aswell.

And that thinking that a 2.7 LPG Regius might offer me all of this ???

Many Thanks, Jeff.

Hiya

We have a 2.7 Regius that has been converted with LPG..

if you choose to run it on petrol its obviously not economical..

but on the LPG it is brilliant.. I think we have done about 200 miles on a tank full of lpg

which cost £35 from empty... this was motorway travel.. mainly LPG is around 70 p per litre..

it is lovely and comfy and well equipped... I think tax was £260 a year??

That sounds like good economy.. Can you tell me if the conversion is expensive and who the best people are to do it.

Would it be as economical on a four wheel drive?

Thanks.
