does a light come on in the dash to tell you when timing belt needs changing?.i,m sitting at 113879 kms just now,there looks to be a figure like 75269 written on timing belt cover,at what kms does the light come on?...

Maybe the light hadn`t been reset last time the belt was changed.
Ask the lads on the surf forum :)

The light comes on @ 100,000kms.
If the light has recently come on, then as mentioned above, it has probably been done.

It only takes 45mins max to change the belt on a 3.0 if you wanted to do it for piece of mind.
