E12 From Belgium.

Hello everyone,

A little background, My name is Chris. I am 19 years old and living in the small country of Belgium.

We are a Toyota Family going back to the Previa more than 20 years ago.

I've always been a car fan, and this is my second car. My first car was a 17 years old Ford Fiesta, that unfortunately met it's untimely demise at the hands of another driver ignoring priority of right.

So that was my first car gone, leaving me carless. Little did I know that my mother had decided to buy herself a Toyota Auris, leaving the Corolla ownerless! I jumped at the chance and found myself driving a Toyota Corolla 1.4 D4-D E12

The car was standard except for the Toyota spoiler at the back.

One of the first things I did was tint the windows all around:

Together with that I put on some covers on the seats to protect them from my big brown labrador, Milo.

The next thing I did was replace the headlights with Xenons H7 8000k, this was mainly because I had to replace one of the Halogen lamps and then decided to replace the whole thing.

What i'm doing now is i am in the process of replacing the radio and putting in a subwoofer.

The subwoofer is in place, as is the radio but unfortunately I am still waiting for the frame to fit in completely.

What I still want to do:

- Spray my front bumper in chassis colour

- TTE Rear splitters for the rear bumper

- TTE sideskirts

- Different muffler

- New rims ( will most likely be the next major change in 2012 )

- Change the suspension, thus lowering the car.

- Change the foglights colour wise, not sure what and how yet.

That's my list of ideas so far :D

Hope you enjoy reading up about my car as I enjoy driving and tinkering with it.

Regards,

Chris

So I spent a few hours looking around at a new set of rims for when this winter is over and still not sure..

Few weeks ago I thought I was sure what I wanted, and here I am again ... :P

I'm stuck at three choices, like all three of em.

All three are 17".

Food for thought :)

As said on corollaforum.nl , I prefer the Lenso's.

I also had them on my E12 as first set, plus they are better quality than the "replica brand" Rota.

The 3rd wheel looks very nice, but I think that it won't be that nice in 17".

The concave effect of the spokes is more on 18" or 19" wheels.

But it's your choice, you have to pay for it, not us! ;)

Rims are beeing fitted next week, pictures will then be posted :D

Big update once again:

I found a set of KW v2 coilovers on the web and bought them. Apart from the fact that they are really dirty and a bit of rust they look pro:

Now a bit of saving to get them mounted.

Very pleased with this :)

Great suspension. How much did it cost...?

Bought them second hand from a garage. Was lucky, they bought a corolla from a guy who didn't want it, nor the coilovers. So he just wanted what it cost him to take it off, 250 euro's. About 210 pounds.

Took them over to an independent guy who had a look at them and said their in good condition.

Didn't have any papers, but I got that sorted with KW already! :D

Saving up a bit to get them fitted, and hope to get it done before my first meeting in March.

Awesome update mate! ;)

Just MAKE them fit before that meeting! :D

If you do that, I'll make sure my 18" are also fitted :P

I'll be there too.

So had a little update, foglights got replaced with 5000k. Going to change them out again for 8000k though so they match the HID lights. I wanted to fit the wheels but didn't because the weather was to crappy.

So yeah.. What do you guys think?

Big update!

Last week I did quite a few things to my car.

I had 'Hookspoilers' mounted on my rear bumper.

The biggest update is of course, My new rims!!

They look mint. Although the car is extremely high, like a jeep . Next week my coilovers :)

Got the coilovers fitted yesterday evening.

Because of the MOT I need to pass it's not as low as I want it yet.

Going to drop it another 3 cm in the back, and 1-2 cms in the front.

Been quite a while since I have posted here so here we go..

Made quite a few mods:

- Fitted a US module.

- Dropped it, lowest point is now 2 cm's.

- Painted my calipers and handbrake.

- Fitted a new twin exhaust.

- Yellow foil over my foglights.

Pics to go with the talk:
