4.2 Windscreen Squeak

The screen on my 4.2 has been replaced at some point in it's past and I'm not convinced it's 'sat' right. I often get a rattle from the base of the screen, sometimes accompanied by a squeak. The rattle sounds like dried peas been dropped on the screen and seems to come from the base of the screen between the wipers. Has anybody here seen their Rav with the screen out? How is it mounted? The sound sometimes goes away totally and then makes a comeback after a couple of days. If I turn the steering wheel from lock to lock when stationary, I can sometimes hear the noise. I've crawled all over the inside and outside but can't see anything obvious, any ideas?

Sorted it! The part of the skuttle panel that covers the Battery was loose. The press clip thingies were pretty much knackered, so I've replaced them all and now the panel is held down solidly. Everytime I walk past a parked 4.2 I've been having a crafty look at the plastic screw clips and have seen a lot of mangled or missing ones, so the tappety tap tap noise of the rubber seal on the glass must be a common sound to a lot of Rav drivers.

Well, erm, I didn't exactly replace them. One screw clip thingy wasn't too bad so I reused that one. The one nearest the wing mirror I replaced with a cable tie that goes down through the metal loop where the screw thingy clips in and then wraps back up through the screw hole on the scuttle plate.
