I've just bought a solar panel charger, as the cig. lighter and 12v. skt. is controlled by ignition key is there a way i can run a cable from Battery to cab without going through window and bonnet so that i can run charger with car locked.

I used one of these, a 12v socket with clips direct to the Battery, the bonnet still closes
