Which Wheels?

Well, finally got round to putting the 2010 wheels on my 2008 RAV today.

Still not sure if I like the pierced spokes - [and not looking forward to cleaning them]

Opinions please................

On a side note, I had a good look at the front discs that were skimmed 12 K miles ago prior to new Toyota pads being fitted. The discs are silky smooth inside and out with none of the previous pitting or corrosion :) Those original pads were pants :angry2:

Newer wheels are far nicer than the originals, Davrav....THAT WEE PERFORATED DETAIL IS PURE DEAD NICE.

I just have a feeling the newer wheels look a bit 'girly' [no offence meant to lady members :) ]

Unfortunately not until I part company with the RAV

I'll be replacing the old tyres gradually so I have another new set to go on when these wear. I use one of the opposing set as a spare.

Keep an eye on e-bay - that's where these came from with virtually new Geo's.

Cool. I'm keeping an eye on fleabay. My 16" NV spec steel wheels have got some rust spots developing. It doesn't look too bad and they are wearing barely worn Federal Couragia SU s that look great IMO but I'd like some alloys at the right price. :-)

I quite like the girlie wheels Dave

Perhaps it's just that the old ones look more beefy? They're certainly easy clean.

Although the wheels are both 17" (?) the newer ones look slightly smaller. Both in my opnion look good, and not Girlie.

Yup, both 17" with same profile tyres Clare.

I think it's the perspective. First photo I was in the road at low level, second photo I was in the neighbours shrubbery which is slightly raised ;)

The new wheels are short of a spoke too so I think they look more delicate............

I was once described as a spoke short of a wheel ! Does that mean I'm delicate ?? ............... :driving:

Very nice wheels and Rav Dave

The new ones look more sporty for me and match the car very well.

On another note though-I notice your sidesteps more or less finish level with your front and rear arches.

Ours seem short at the back by about 2"??

I did mean to point it out in my post, but forgot??

They look OK to me Paul - if you checked the front/rear positioning as per the fitting instructions I wouldn't worry.
