title says it all really, driving home on the motorway and BING! the EML is back on, bearing in mind ive only had this car 3 months, ive replaced one of the top 02 sensors, MAF sensor, it still wants more money plowing into it, sorry about all the ranting but looks as if ive brought a right lemon.

Anyway back to the fault its showing

done some research and looks like to be the bottom to sensors on the cat, or worst still the cat its self, does anyone know if it would just be the sensors?

its a 2L 02 plate vvti

P0420/P0430 Are a known fault with your age Rav & there is an ECU programme update available, you will have to go to your local Toyota dealer to have it uploaded into your ECU. This stops an error where the ECU misdetects P0420/P0430. Unfortunately if the fault has been occurring for to often and too long the catalyst may have been damaged and may need replacing. If the the only codes present are P0420/P0430 then it is unlikely that any sensors will need replacing, but not impossible.

Measure the heaters coil resistances with your multimeter. Takes all of 5 minutes. See the first link in my sig.
