I'v just renewed my insurance and while shopping round I found that if I took my wife who is an additional driver OFF the policy, my premium would go UP over £100!!!

I'v been driving 25 years and have 9 years NCB.

She has been driving 8 years and only has 5 years NCB.

So to bring your premium down.

ADD A FEMALE

I'v also ditched Dorset this time and gone with Liverpool Victoria.

They where £186 cheaper than Dorset and they dont hike for any bodywork mods.

Only if you increase the cc of the engine.

Surely this doesnt mean increasing the performance of the standard engine?

Does anyone know??

I'm with Liverpool Victoria - as you say mods are ok - except changing the engine. With stuff like induction kits etc you're ok.

Although if it's worded like you say & you can't 'increase' the CC's that means I can downsize & stick a 1.3 turbo in from the Starlet & they won't mind! :D

I don't think they do - unfortunately engine conversions & imports are the only things they don't cover which is a real shame. :(
