Timing Belt

My Avensis D4D TX3 is due for an NCT soon, would I need to change the timing belt , it has 70, 000 miles on the clock .

Hi Charlie and welcome to the TOC.

I guess the NCT is the same as the UK MOT.

No doubt that the NCT involves the engine taken to high revs for the emmision testing so a belt change would not come amiss at 70000 miles.

If you put your Question on the Avensis forum other owners can advise you of the recommended time to change your belt

Cheers Peter, yes the NCT is the same as the MOT, As you seen I already posted it on Avensis forum pages but have not received a reply yet, (other than yours) I was hoping to had

this car sold before the NCT was due, hence the question. Regards Charlie
