yes i am new to this i have a 2nd gen hilux 2.4td. while out with the kids the surf sterted turning over very slow as though the batts were flat,then after a while of turning over very slow she would wind up speed and start.running is fine lights fine ,charge indicator just under 18.i am not much use with electrics,does any one know if this is poss starter motor,or batts,and is it a common problem ,thanks all keith.

HI keith and welcome to the club. have you tried your Battery connections not only on the Battery itself but the earh connection from the negative cable to the chassis.

Also check the starter motor cable connection.

Starter motor brushes could be another posibiliy

hi paul thanks ,your motor is very nice indeed, i also like the bikes and cars recently sold my gto 3l twin t.to dear to run i also have a 2l celica but riged out as a gt4 t in white love it.hi lux still giving grief cherging batteries now all connections seem ok if still no joy it has to be starter. any way take care and look forward to chatting again.
