Problem With Starting My Toyota Avensis D4D 2006

Hi Everyone,

I am new to the Toyota owner club. I have been reading through the posts but nothing seems to help for my car.

Most of the time is starts fine, but after I do a long journey, if I try to turn on i will have to try for about 6/7 times before it starts again. On a few occassions it has also done it in the morning.

The Battery and spark plugs are new and there is no loss of power, the car performs perfect, other than the start.

Can anyone help, telling me what the problem could be?

Welcome Ron to TOC.

Is this a diesel or a petrol model? As you've said spark plugs and not glow plugs!
