Manufacturer's Service V. Standard Service

My 09 Yaris is due for its first MOT and service in the next couple of weeks.

I'm a first time Toyota owner and used to take my car to my local mechanic for a full service.

Anyway my Toyota garage has offered me a good deal with a service and MOT, except the woman on the phone told me I have a choice between a full manufacturer's service (£185) or a standard service (£99). I asked her what the difference between the two services were, and she said that the latter was checking and topping up levels and a general checkover, but couldn't really explain the former to me.

Can anyone explain this to me? Is it worth getting the manufacturer's service?

Many thanks for your help!

Have a look in your service book and it will show whats supposed to be done on the service (assuming its the 3yr/30k service), the extra £85 (45 minutes ish) will just be the labour cost of having a more general poke around if additional parts are not used. The lower price will probably just be an oil and filter and visual look.
