Something Rattling?

Hi

Lately have began to hear something rattling/tapping (as if a wiring loom or something has become loose). It seems to eminate from above....somewhere above the passenger seat...my wife thinks it's in the area of the sunroof??

It doesn't happen all the time...mainly when in lower gears and car has a bit more vibration.

Has anyone had the same?

The other day I was returning from Ennerdale lake on the winding roads and it was annoying me...more so because the missus couldn't be bothered investigating (she is of the opinion 'So what?')...so that got me more annoyed and resulted in me ratching and taking my attention off the road!!

I would be less concerned if it is nothing sinister (like my sunroof coming to bits).

Cheers

Check the sun visors are clicked into their keepers Patrick.

Also check that the plastic 'bellows' either side of the sunroof are still attached - you will need to slide the shield open and tilt the glass to check that.

Yes mine does it as well.

I think it is the wiring loom rattling on the headlining, if I open the inner sliding sunroof cover all the way back it must just touch the loom and the rattle stops.

If I hit the brakes and the cover slides forward a bit, my rattle returns till I slide it back again.
