Turbo Probs ?

hi just had erg valve replaced ,solved all problems then a week later ,noticed this whizzing noise and gush of black smoke again !!lack of accelaration ok ish if i accelarate slowly but smokey ,its a 2004 d4d 170,000 avensis ! all help wud be very welcome gettin skint with this car just replaced clutch and dont think i can afford to put a 2000 euro turbo into it !

Might be worth getting a professional diagnosis. yes it will cost in the short term but may save £s in the long term.

the reason of an EGR valve changing ???

undo suction rubber hose to your turbo and rotate the shaft -- what are observations? try to move the shaft in an axis and radial directions -- what are observations? at the same time twy to move the vanes or their drive -- what are observations?

what has been done prior to EGR changing?

thank u for ur help ,finally got to bottom of problem ,had a very small slit on one off the inter cooler hoses ,as it is a prresurised system any leak at all will cause lack of power and black smoke !even tried to gaffer tape up this very small slit but no diference ,any damage at all to these hoses replace straight away ,as i have learned ,thanks again for suggestions ;)
