D4D 2005 Avensis Fuel Pressure Sensor Location

Does anybody know the location of the fuel pressure sensor (s) on a d4d Avensis 2005?

my engine light (amber) comes on and the power drops, when checked the code came back as leak in fuel system.I have been told that this error is more likely to be the fuel pressure sensor than an actual leak (there is no diesel fuel leak visible- and the are no signs / smell at all)

The diagnosis makes sense but I am told there are 2 sensors ... 1 on the pump and one on the fuel line ... anybody ever had a similar problem/solution or does anybody know the location of these sensor (I don't know where the fuel pump is either ) ... Thnx

check with the rail free end edge -- there must be this sensor. the opposite side is connected with HP pipe from fuel pump.

Hi Igor .... you are absolutely correct , thank you for your response.

My next problem is that Toyota have quoted me 255 + vat for the complete section of common rail and fuel sensor ...

you need only sensor in case it is faulty.

what is the rail -- it is only piece of pipe with welded in joints for HP pipes.

check with Parts King -- may be he has got it or can recommend .

255 +vat -- seems too expensive
