Hi everyone just become a member.Can anyone advise on the following please?I have a corolla verso 1.8 petrol 06 plate 57000 miles on clock.Bought from a toyota dealer 2 years ago done approx 9000 miles in that 2 years.Crunching when going into 2nd gear.Been told that syncromesh on 2nd gear has gone and needs to come out to be repaired or different gear box fitted.Is this norman or have I just been unlucky.Either way it sounds expensive?

HI Kevin,and welcome .

I think you have just been unlucky.

Have you not been given a quote from your Toyota dealer for fixing the problem.

You could try a independent garage or a gearbox specialist which may be cheaper.

If you post on the Corolla forum you may get further advice.
