New Avensis Park Brake

Hello everyone, Im interested in buying the new avensis I've had the previous shape avensis and as I like to maintain my own car where possable I was able to do that with the older shape. Im a bit put off though with the new model as it has an electronic park brake and I've been told with electronic park brakes they have to go on a computer to be wound back off when its time to fit new pads.

Question is:- does anyone have any info if this is the case on the new avensis or can it be manualy wound off?

If it has to go into the garage does anyone know how much a dealer would charge for fitting new pads?
