02 Plate Avensis - Won't Unlock Manually

Hi all.

My Avensis will only unlock if I use the remote.

EDIT: It will unlock manually, but if unlocked manually, opening the door will set off the alarm. Is there any way of either stopping that from happening, or disabling the alarm entirely?

It's the same with the master key, as well as the two remote keys.

I think this is normal if you have locked it with the remote. Will try this on mine to see if it will unlock / lock with the key without activating the alarm. There is a section in user manual on key procedures.

thats normal as locking it with remote will activate the alarm system. and with the key no alarm
