I noticed there are two smallish slots on either side of my rear seats in my Toyota aygo, can anybody tell me what they are for?

Hi Vanessa.

You're probably looking at the 2 rear seat belt buckle holders.

Slide the 2 rear seat belt buckles up the belts, twist them outwards and slot them in.

Stops them rattling and makes them easier to reach for rear passengers.

Ian.

Not noticed these slots till now. The tangs for the belts certainly fit in them, but so located they stick forward in a way that I think would catch someone getting in; potentially damaging either them or the plastic trim. So I've left them dangling :) (Not noticed them rattling yet anyway.)

The slots are for storing the seat belt buckles when you fold down the rear seats so you don't get them caught!
