Advice On Where To Advertise Car For Sale

My new Avensis should be here shortly, so I am about to advertise my 6-year old Renault Laguna for sale. Could anyone give me advice, based on personal experience, on where best to sell my Laguna. I have considered the autotrader website - is it worth paying the extra to go in the paper version too? Any other places that are considered better than autotrader? Thanks for any advice you can give, I've never sold a car privately before as I've always part-exchanged the old car.

autotrader do the deal for magazine for 1 week internet for 2, and overprice it a tad and put ONO (or near offer)after the price it makes it sound like more of a deal and list all extras and servie history etc.

Try your local 'yellow papers' such as the Freeads/Bargain pages/Ad-mag and The Loot.....

I have to agree with Jimma, I sold my old car through Findit and it's free. When I'm looking for something Findit is the first place I look.

Thanks for the advice. Had a look at findit.co.uk, and maybe I'm not being very clever, but I did a search for a car as if I was a potential purchaser and I got an enormously long list of that type of car for sale, in no particular order, with no prices displayed. If I was a buyer, I think I would give up at that point as it seems really user-unfriendly and hard to pinpoint relevant results. Am I being thick, or is it really this hard to use?
