I dont think you will that far out, if the crx is a vti 1.6 it only has 160bhp, starlet i guess about 130bhp not that far out....

I raced my bro's missus's CRX Vt in my CRX 16v. He was only abit quicker due to the vtec (my brother was driving)

by the the time we reached 80 he was 1 car lenght in front!

I raced my CRX 16v in my starlet and I completely destroyed it.

crx vtec's (older shape) have 160 bhp

new ones (the convertibles) are 150bhp uk / 160bhp import IIRC

Wherever your looking it up is wrong :o :P

They got any other entertaining mistakes?

25bhp supras perhaps? ;) :D

Depends what CR-X it is, down where i live, many CR-X people drive are the 1.6 VTi Vtec spec and it is 160bhp, and my mate drives a 160bhp Civic 1.6 Vti Vtec and that keeps up with the CR-X, so same engine i guess... Am i wrong? hmmmm :!Removed!:

I own a CRX and had researched this before on the CRX-UK site.

Right.

CRX 1.5 twin carb (jap import) only had a 105 horses

CRX 1.6 16v (UK) Has a D16 engine which produces 130 horses

CRX 1.6 Si 16v (jap import) has the same D16 engine as the uk 130 horses

CRX VTi 16v (UK) has a B16 engine meaning Vtec at 150 horses

CRX SiR 16v (jap import) has a B16 engine but has 160 horses

Civics Vtec's from 90 to EG's 94 are using this same B16 enigne so also 150bhp.

Jap CRX's are faster cos they are slightly lighter and slightly more tuned. If you see a SiR then you might want to think again. Someone had a SiR with an exhuast and filter managed to keep up with a 02 Civic type R, over in the CRX-UK site.

16v's and UK VTi's are easy but the jap SiR's are a little bit harder!

Hope this explained the CRX's

Hey im knew here, from the US, and over hear the hf crxs have 85 hp. but the v tec has 160,and the j specs have 170. Many people in the US do j spec engine swaps, lol we r turing like japan in ower car industry, and i like it.

Alot of people over here tends to put the B18 (integra) engine in the Rex's. 197bhp from an integra + in the lightweight CRX body = very fast toy . not too bad huh?
