Toyota Yaris Suspension Problem

I have a 59 plate yaris that has only got 20000 miles on it. Its recently developed a creak when turning right. I took it to the garage yesterday and they said it was a problem with the suspension and said it was rubbing on the metal when the wheel was turning. They quoted 402 pounds for both right and left side.

The car has literally just run out of warranty at the end of January and also just had an mot and service. Is this normal to have a problem with the suspension in such a new car? Would the garage not have noticed this problem when it went for mot and service?

Any advice please?

Suspension bushes can be a problem at MOT stage on some cars - a Honda we had failed its first MOT due to wear in the suspension bushes (sorted under the Honda extended warranty MOT insurance though).

Is it a Toyota dealer you have been using or an independent? I would go back to your garage and query why the suspension issue wasn't picked up at the service and MOT three weeks or so ago. If it is a Toyota dealer, then raise the question as to whether the fault was there when the service and MOT was done, and whether it should have been covered under your (presumably Toyota) warranty.

Many thanks for your help. Yes it was taken to a toyota garage to have the MOT and service and the warranty was from toyota so I will query with them why it wasn't picked up on mot and service.
