Fuel Tank Light Question...

Gordon in Angus - if I let my RAV number 2 run until the light comes on, I generally have less than 5 litres left in the tank which in my case is less than 22 miles. I have been running the RAVs with the turbo engines for quite a few years now and know what I can expect from a tank, hence know if there is a problem if the mpg alters. I do tend to let the tank go fairly dry, and often fill up to 58 litres. As said before, the last 10 litres take a lot longer to squeeze in as I reckon the pipe between the 2 tanks must be narrowed by 'stuff'. I always use Shell VPower but if need be use a higher octane other brand.

The number 1 RAV fuel light comes on when there is nearer 10 litres in the tank which is about 4 minutes flying time.
